Greenport Egg Hunt – Great Idea by Butta Cakes

On facebook, I noticed that Butta Cakes in Greenport, NY was holding a fun Easter Egg Hunt at Mitchell Park.  What a fun idea.  At ten o’clock the hunt began.  There were coupons, candy and Pranks inside of the colorful plastic eggs.  All of the kids and a few adults had their baskets at the ready.  I found four eggs and stashed them in my purple purse.

The eggs were “hidden” in the park and all the way down the street to Butta Cakes shop.  It was nice to see the dozens of happy children and parents hoping that their coupons and candy would be abundant.  If you received a prank or punk’d egg you had to stop what you are doing and follow the directions.  I received a punk’d egg that said “STOP! HOP 20 times like the Easter Bunny NOW!”.  I was so subtle that I doubt anyone noticed my hijinks.  I was also happy to receive a Free Cupcake Coupon as well as two 10% off coupons for Greenport Art and Design.  I decided that I would redeem these at a later time.  It is a great excuse to return and visit one of my favorite towns.
