Grateful on Long Island – Wine Food and Thanks

Grateful on Long Island - Wine Food and Thanks - Virginia's Long IslandThanksgiving is a time to reflect on gratitude.  Personally, I am remembering my year of blogging about wine, food and fun.  What started out as a 2011 New Year’s Resolution has turned into a new career and new social opportunities.  Writing about Long Island and New York this year has opened my eyes to how much fun there is to be had in life.  I am extremely grateful for the new people I have met during this journey.  Thank you for returning to my site and for all of your support and good wishes!

Working at home doing Social Media and SEO Coordination has given me the opportunity to achieve real success and fulfillment. I am still surprised that it all started as a way to express myself through writing.

My husband, Andrew, is my biggest supporter of all.  He accompanies me to many fantastic restaurants, vineyards and fun events.  He is the cook in our household and I’ve been eating like a Queen for the sixteen years that I’ve been on Long Island. We have a tradition to have a Thanksgiving dinner for the two of us sometime around the Holidays.

I cannot begin to express the gratitude that I live in a wonderful area of the United States.  The East End of Long Island is full of wine, food and fun! The wine I’ve been privileged to try this year has been phenomenal – as are the people in the wine industry that I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with sipping happily away.  Attending the Dans Paper’s Taste of Two Forks event was the highlight of the year for this indulgent girl!

There is an event coming up that may prove to be the ultimate blogging opportunity – I entered a DirectTV contest and won.  I am the official blogger for this year’s Z100 Jingle Ball!

What a whirlwind of a year! Cheers!
